Hee J. Jo
Hee J. Jo (b. 1987) is a Korean Canadian artist based in Ontario, Canada. Jo is a City of Mississauga’s resident artist, with her studio based in the Living Arts Centre.
Drawing inspiration from her background as a professional floral designer, Jo's recent works are a vibrant exploration of the intricate beauty found in flowers.
Her artistic practice centers around the female form and portraiture, where she intertwines the human figure with floral motifs. Utilizing vibrant compositions and rich palettes, Jo's work aims to forge an intrinsic bond, celebrating the strength of femininity, diversity, and the organic connection to nature.
